Rainsong's top priority project is the construction of an open-air jungle habitat on the sanctuary that will provide an area for the animals to live free in a natural forest area. The habitat will be home to kinkajous, capuchin and mantled howler monkeys, anteaters, pacas, deer and other non-carnivorous animals. The habitat will include native trees, shrubs and other plants as well as a feeding area and ropes for their recreational use. It will have a two meter fence to protect the animals from predators such as coyotes, wild cats, pizotes and boa constrictors. Many of the animals rescued are never able to return to the wild due to permanent injuries. Creating this jungle habitat will give them the opportunity to experience life very much like what they would in the wild. The total cost for the habitat is $10,000. You can help us today by sending a donation! To the left is a rough model of the jungle habitat and its features. Contact Rainsong today at: costricaanimalrescue_gmail.com
